在10/12號的Media Event中，Steve Jobs公布了新一代的iMac、Video iPod、以及新的軟體

iMac：更快的CPU速度，更大容量的硬碟，內建iSight以及FrontRow(類似Media center的軟體)

20" iMac(2.1Ghz)售價：1799美金




iPod:：新的30GB/60GB iPod，能播放MPEG4與H.264的影片，螢幕為26萬色，支援影片輸出(Video-Out)。厚度比目前iPod Photo 20GB還要薄上30%，下週開始公開販售(包裝內含外殼)。另外iTunes也推出6.0的新版本可以立即下載。

FrontRow：讓你能在沙發上握著和iPod shuffle很像的遙控器(有6個按鈕)來操作、欣賞在iMac中的影片/音樂/照片。 看來微軟和Apple都想要以電腦攻佔客廳啊。

另外搭配新的Video iPod，iTunes Stores也同步提供MTV付費購買的新服務，目前有2000首MTV可供下載。每首只要1.99美金。不過呢，這些MTV和iTunes販賣的Mp3是一樣受到DRM保護的，最多可授權你在5台電腦上播映。另外還能購買電視節目(TV Shows)一樣也是每集1.99美金，目前已經上線的是ABC的影集 (Desperate Housewives, Lost) 。

Autodesk合併Alias

Autodesk today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Alias, a privately held developer of 3D graphics technology, for $182 million in cash. This acquisition will grow Autodesk’s expertise and offerings in the film and video, interactive games, media, Web, consumer products, industrial design, automotive, architecture and visualization markets. Autodesk anticipates that the transaction will close within the next four to six months.
