MSN Video Download

微軟推出了Video Download的服務，下載的檔案可以透過media player與PMP同步。但是目前就已經開始收費了，Premium Membership一年收費19.95美金。當然也有試用版的Basic Membership，目前免費，但是應該很多節目都無法下載，只能隔靴搔癢。

不過主要的訴求應該是這句話：Get all news, sports and entertainment videos automatically downloaded every day。透過訂閱的方式讓PMP可以每天更新資料，滿足對於新聞、體育消息、娛樂影視消息的需求，或是攜帶隨身可看的影片。

會員的部份仍然是透過MS的.NET Passport來認證與收費。

mobiBLU DVH-100

相當誘人的Portable Video Player，透過USB 2.0介面傳輸，20G硬碟，採用FAT32格式
2.22吋螢幕的解析度為320x320，不過看來可以輸出的解析度只有640*480/24fps，320*320/24fps。另外也不清楚2100mAh的電池可以使用多少小時。

但是，可以放入720*480/30fps的MPEG-4影片。真的是不錯呢。

μVNC for au(KDDI)

這種功能目前只能在日本使用吧，畢竟這類的Service還是需要手機軟硬體與服務提供商相搭配才能達成。
可以遠端遙控Windows、Unix、Mac的手機！

μVNC可以讓使用者在任何地方以手機遠端控制電腦，支援的OS有Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98，Linux/FreeBSD，Mac OS X。
主要是可以縮小原有PC的畫面，並以十字游標移動的方式挪移畫面，也可以90度旋轉顯示視窗，以及也可在低速的環境下使用(透過高效率的編碼)

Wrench站長果然很年輕，真是優秀的學弟。講的觀念也蠻能讓我認同的。blog的未來，多方向整合，這是目前正發生的事，所以未來還有很多可能性啊。

Toshiba's Detachable Display Prototype Notebook

Toshiba正在研發新型的筆記型電腦(code named "Toshiba Dynabook SS SX")，可以將螢幕拆開，透過802.11b與主機進行連線。目前在厚度與重量上還有待技術上的突破(0.7英吋厚，重達 1.2 英磅)，電池也是個問題，目前螢幕拆離底座後僅能維持約一小時的使用時間，Toshiba希望未來可以達到約兩到三小時的使用時間。在沒有達到這標準前Toshiba並沒有市場化的打算。

又多了一種Flash卡的規格 :C-Flash

Pretec推出C-Flash，大小為17 x 12 x 1.0mm，約只有RS-MMC的三分之一
c-flash可支援MU-Card。MU-Card是由大陸自訂的規格，或是說由Mu-Card Alliance of OMIA (Open Mobile Internet Alliance)訂定的規格。理論容量可以達到2048GB，傳輸速度可以達到120MB/s。目前C-Flash只有128mb的樣本提供給手機製造商與其他相關廠商。1GB的版本大約要到今年第二季才會出來，而採用這種記憶卡的行動電話最快也要到第三季才會在市場上出現。

Pretec也提供轉接卡讓C-Flash可以變成SD, miniSD, MMC, RS-MMC，或是USB隨身碟，使用者可以購買多種轉卡與C-Flash就可以通吃許多規格的記憶卡，可以用在行動電話、數位相機、MP3、PDA上。

Apple網頁上的iPod更新程式似乎可以改善某些iPod的電池使用問題，不過前提是必須進行重置而非升級，也就是若想要藉此來改善iPod的電力問題，必須把mp3與語音資料先行備份，因為重置會將所有的資料洗掉讓iPod恢復成出廠時的狀態。

Polymer Vision_Screens are on thw roll

Although rollable displays are truly revolutionary, the technologies behind them – polymer electronics, electronic ink and TFTs (thin film transistors) – are tried and tested. We can draw on over 20 years’ experience in polymer electronics in-house and the technology has been extensively explored by many companies and research institutions. The electronic ink technology used in current rollable displays is already integrated into commercial products such as e-books and TFT-based screens are standard in most laptop computers.

How is a rollable display made?

To make displays which can roll up, every layer must be rollable:

• At the back of the display, we use a thin plastic/organic film as a base.

• At the front , we use electronic ink, printed on a sheet of plastic. This is a matrix of microcapsules containing black or white particles: the ones which rise to the ‘top’ of the microcapsule determine the color of the pixels.

The manufacturing process is as flexible as the displays themselves. Each element can be replaced if a new technology offers greater benefits.
